MICHAEL WANG DALIAN, CHINA “I FEEL LONELY IN THE U.S. BECAUSE I AM THE KIND OF SHY PERSON. BUT SOMETIMES I LIKE THIS LONELINESS.” Michael came to the United States in August 2014. First, he went to Pasadena City College, then transferred to LMU as a junior. Before studying in the United States, he studied in Singapore for a year. However, he did not like the school he went to and the environment there, so he came to the state on the advice of his parents. He described himself as a bad student before, he did not like studying and would rather spend time hanging out with friends. It was not until he studied at Pasadena City College that he realized the importance of education. He started chasing his studies, so he didn't go home for four years. He took as many classes were needed to transfer out to a university, and he studied the entire winter and summer breaks. Finally, he got straight A’s and came to LMU as a screenwriting major student.
